Terms of Sale

In short
- You buy an English PDF from FUNtasztikus Tudomány Kft., a Hungarian company.
- Payhip runs the checkout and sends your download link by email straight away.
- Because you get the file immediately, you agree at checkout that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once your download starts.
- If the file is faulty or will not open, we fix it or refund you. Your legal rights always apply.
- The PDF is for one family or one educator’s own group. See our License.
Thank you for choosing our Christmas science books. These terms explain how buying from us works. We have tried to keep them short and clear. If anything is unclear, please email us before you buy.

2. Who can buy
Our shop is for adults (18 or over, or the age of majority where you live). These terms are written for consumers, that is, people buying for personal use, and for teachers and educators buying for their own group. If you buy for a business or institution, sections 8 and 9 apply only as far as the law requires.
3. What we sell
We sell two digital products, in English, as PDF downloads:

What you need: a device that can open PDF files (for example a free PDF reader on a computer, tablet or phone) and, if you want to print, a printer. The files are A4. On US Letter paper, choose “Fit to page” in your print settings. The files have no copy protection (no DRM).
The product pages on our website show sample pages, so you can see the content before you buy. There is no physical product and nothing is shipped.
One price applies to everyone. We do not sell school, team, site or district licenses.
4. Prices and taxes
Prices are shown in US dollars on our website and at checkout. The final price, including any VAT, GST or sales tax due in your country, is shown at checkout before you pay. Your bank or card provider may charge currency conversion fees, which we do not control.
Taxes are handled by Payhip:
- For buyers in the EU and the UK, Payhip acts as the reseller of our digital products for VAT purposes. It calculates the VAT rate of your country, charges it and pays it to the tax authorities.
- For buyers in the United States, Payhip collects and pays sales tax as a marketplace facilitator where it is due.
- For buyers in Canada, Payhip handles sales tax as a digital platform operator.
- In other countries, local taxes may apply as shown at checkout.
We may offer discounts or launch prices for a limited time. The price that applies to your order is the one shown at checkout when you pay.
5. How ordering works
- On www.christmas-science.com, click “Buy” for the product you want. This takes you to our checkout, run by Payhip Ltd (United Kingdom).
- Enter your email address, country and payment details (and your name, if asked). Please check your email address carefully, because your download link is sent there.
- Tick the required boxes: acceptance of these Terms of Sale and our License, and your agreement to receive the download immediately (see section 8).
- Before you pay, you can check everything and correct mistakes directly in the checkout fields, or go back to our website.
- Click the payment button. Clicking it means you place an order with an obligation to pay.
- The contract is concluded when your payment is accepted and the order confirmation is shown. You then get a confirmation page and a receipt email with your download link, the order details and a record of your checkout answers.
The contract language is English. We do not file your individual contract separately. Your receipt email is your record, and these terms stay available on our website, where you can save or print them. Please keep a copy of the version in force when you buy.
6. Payment
You pay through Stripe (cards and other methods it offers) or PayPal, using our own merchant accounts. Payhip shows the available methods at checkout. We never see your full card details.
7. Delivery of your PDF
Your download link appears on the confirmation page and arrives by email, usually within minutes of payment. If you have not received it within one hour, please check your spam folder and then email us at molnar.janka.sara@funtasztikus-tudomany.hu. We will send it again.
Please download and save your files soon after purchase. If you lose your file, email us with your order number and we will help.
8. Your right of withdrawal (EU and UK consumers)
If you live in the EU or the UK and buy as a consumer, the law normally gives you 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason. For digital content like our PDFs, this right ends once the download starts, but only if you agreed to this before buying.
At checkout you are asked to confirm that you want the download straight away, before the 14-day period ends, and that you understand you lose your right of withdrawal once your download starts. Your answer is recorded in your receipt email, which also serves as our confirmation.
This means:
- If you have not started any download yet, you can still withdraw within 14 days of your purchase, and we refund the full price.
- Once a download has started, you can no longer withdraw. Your rights if a file is faulty (section 9) and our goodwill policy (section 10) still apply.
How to withdraw:
- Use the “Withdraw from contract here” link in the footer of our website and our store. Fill in your name, the email address you used and your order number (or other details that identify your order), then click “Confirm withdrawal”. We send you an acknowledgement by email straight away.
- Or send us a clear statement by email to molnar.janka.sara@funtasztikus-tudomany.hu or by post to our registered seat (8000 Székesfehérvár, Huszár utca 2, Hungary). You may use the model withdrawal form at the end of these terms, but you do not have to.
It is enough to send your withdrawal before the 14 days end.
Refund: we refund all payments within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same payment method you used, unless you agree otherwise. There is no fee.
9. If something is wrong with your PDF (legal guarantee)
Your PDF must match its description, be complete and work as described. This is your legal guarantee of conformity, and it applies by law. These terms do not limit it.
- EU consumers: we are responsible for any lack of conformity that exists when we supply the file, and you can claim for at least 2 years from supply. If you report a problem within 1 year of supply, it is presumed to have existed at supply, unless we prove otherwise. You can ask us to fix the problem (for example by sending a corrected file) free of charge and within a reasonable time. If we cannot or do not fix it, or the problem is serious, you can ask for a price reduction or end the contract and get your money back. We pay refunds within 14 days.
- UK consumers: you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, you can ask us to repair or replace it, and in some cases you are entitled to a price reduction or a refund.
- Australian consumers: our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Everyone else: you have the rights that the consumer law of your country gives you.
How to report a problem: email molnar.janka.sara@funtasztikus-tudomany.hu with your order number and a short description (a screenshot helps). We usually reply within 2 working days.
10. Our goodwill refund policy
On top of your legal rights, we offer a simple goodwill policy, explained in our Refunds and Withdrawal page. In short: if your file is faulty or will not open and we cannot fix it, we refund you. If you have not downloaded yet, you can ask for a refund within 14 days wherever you live.
11. Complaints
We want to hear about any problem. Email molnar.janka.sara@funtasztikus-tudomany.hu or write to us at our registered seat. We answer written complaints in writing within 30 days at the latest, usually much sooner, and keep a record of complaints and our replies for 3 years. If we reject your complaint, we will tell you in writing why, and which bodies you can turn to.
12. Out-of-court dispute resolution
If we cannot solve a dispute together, you can turn to an out-of-court body:
- Hungarian conciliation board (békéltető testület). As a Hungarian company we cooperate with the Hungarian conciliation boards. For consumers living outside Hungary, the competent board is the one for our registered seat: Fejér Vármegyei Békéltető Testület, 8000 Székesfehérvár, Hosszúsétatér 4-6., phone: +36 22 510 310, email: bekeltetes@fmkik.hu, website: www.bekeltetesfejer.hu.
- EU consumers can also ask the European Consumer Centre in their own country for free help with a cross-border dispute.
The European Commission’s online dispute resolution (ODR) platform closed on 20 July 2025, so it is no longer available.
You can always go to court instead (see section 16).
13. License and use of the PDFs
When you buy, you get a license to use the PDF, not ownership of the copyright. One purchase covers one family, or one teacher or educator with their own group or class. Our License explains exactly what you may do, including unlimited printing for your family or group, and what you may not do, such as sharing the file.
Payhip may show you its own standard end-user licence at checkout. For our PDFs, our License sets out your permissions. Where it gives you more rights, our License applies. Neither document limits your legal rights as a consumer.
14. Safety
Our experiments are designed for children together with a grown-up. The supervising adult must read the “Safety First” page and every experiment before starting, decide whether an activity is right for the children and the place, and do every step marked for adults. 15. Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability:
- for death or personal injury caused by our negligence,
- for damage we cause intentionally or by gross negligence,
- for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation,
- for your legal rights as a consumer (for example under section 9), or
- for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude.
Subject to this, we are not responsible for loss or damage caused by not following the instructions, safety notes or adult-only markings in our books, or by using the products in a way they are not meant for. We are also not responsible for business losses, because our products are for personal and educational use.
16. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by Hungarian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and nothing in these terms takes that away.
If you are a consumer living in the EU, you can bring a claim in the courts of your own country or in Hungary, and we can only bring a claim against you in the courts of your country. UK consumers can bring claims in the courts of the part of the UK where they live. Consumers in other countries keep any right their local law gives them to go to their local courts.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future orders. The version shown when you placed your order applies to your purchase.
