License: How You May Use Our PDFs

In short
- One purchase = one family, or one teacher or educator with their own group or class.
- Print as many copies as you need for that family or that one group, year after year.
- Please do not share, upload or resell the file. Every other family, and every other teacher with another group, needs their own copy.
- The free sampler may be shared, as long as it stays complete and unchanged and is not sold.
- Not sure? Email us. We usually say yes to reasonable requests.

1. What this license covers
This license applies to our paid PDFs:
- Theo and Tilda’s Christmas Science Adventure (the book), and
- the Bundle (the book plus the Activity Pack).
The PDFs are made by FUNtasztikus Tudomány Kft. (“we”, “us”). When you buy, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the PDF as described here. The copyright stays with us.
The free sampler has its own, more generous rules (see section 6).
2. Who can use one purchase
Choose the option that fits you. One purchase covers one of these:
Option A: one family at home
The people in one household may use the PDF at home, together with the grown-ups who look after the children there, for example a grandparent or a babysitter.
Option B: one teacher or educator with their own group
One teacher or educator may use the PDF with their own group or class, for example:
- a preschool or kindergarten teacher with her group,
- a primary school teacher with his class,
- a homeschool parent teaching their own children,
- a leader of one after-school club, library session group or homeschool co-op group, using it with that one group.
The teaching assistant and any substitute teacher who work with that same group may use the printed copies with the children too.
If a colleague wants to use it with another group or class, they need their own purchase.
3. What you may do
With your family or your one group, you may:
- print as many copies as you need, as often as you need, year after year,
- hand out printed pages to the children in your group, also to take home,
- read the PDF on your own screens (computer, tablet, phone), and show pages on a screen in the room while you are with your family or group,
- keep backup copies of the file on your own devices or in your own private cloud storage,
- share photos of your children’s experiments and of the printed book in use, for example on social media, with a mention of christmas-science.com.
4. What you may not do
You may not:
- share, email or forward the PDF file (or parts of it) to anyone, including colleagues, other parents or the parents of the children in your group,
- upload the file to shared drives, school-wide platforms, learning management systems, class websites, file-sharing sites or anywhere else on the internet,
- resell, give away or lend the file, or printed copies made for sale,
- use the content in paid courses, products or services, or in anything you sell,
- remove our name or copyright notice, or claim the content as your own,
- use the texts, illustrations, photos or characters (Theo and Tilda) to create other products or to train artificial intelligence models.

5. Schools and larger groups
We offer one license type only, at one price for everyone. We do not sell school, team, site or district licenses. If several teachers want to use the book, each teacher buys their own copy for their own group.
6. The free sampler
You may print the free sampler as many times as you like and share the sampler PDF with friends, family and other teachers, as long as it stays complete and unchanged and is not sold. All other rules in section 4 also apply to the sampler.
7. Who made the content

8. If the license is broken
If these rules are broken, the license ends automatically, and the file and all copies must be deleted. We may also take the steps the law allows to protect our work.
9. Your legal rights
This license does not limit any use the law allows without permission (for example private copying or legal exceptions for teaching, where they apply in your country), or your rights as a consumer.
At checkout, Payhip may also show its own standard end-user licence. For our PDFs, this License sets out your permissions. Where it gives you more rights, this License applies.
